ABOUT THE FEATURED ACHS

Community Response System of South Los Angeles (CRSSLA)
The Community Response System of South Los Angeles (CRSSLA) is dedicated to improving health outcomes, dismantling systemic disparities, and building a thriving South LA for generations to come. As an Accountable Community for Health (ACH), CRSSLA serves more than 700,000 residents across 20 zip codes, acting as a vital bridge between healthcare providers, health insurers, and the community. CRSSLA mobilizes collective action around chronic, diet-related diseases, especially the crisis of diabetes in the 90059 zip code, where residents face some of the highest rates of diabetes-related amputations in California. By aligning health systems, local organizations, and resident leadership, CRSSLA works to advance prevention, equity, and healing in communities too often left behind.

Child Safety Forward Sacramento
Public systems and private non-profits across Sacramento County acknowledge that child safety is not solely a “child welfare issue” and recognize the need for all child-and family-serving organizations to partner together to reduce child abuse and neglect. Child Safety Forward Sacramento (CSFS), formed in 2019, works together to reach our audacious goal of eliminating child abuse and neglect deaths and critical injuries by 2030, by implement a cross-systems strategic plan. The approach emphasizes system leadership and accountability, multidisciplinary support for families, decision-making grounded in better data and research, and a shared responsibility to promote family safety. What began with 10 systems leaders has grown to 40 members, with more than 10% being community representatives who have experience with a number of our County systems.

How can communities build real power to shape the decisions that affect their health?

Across California, Accountable Communities for Health (ACHs) are showing that lasting change starts when residents help lead the way.

Join us on Wednesday, October 29 at 12:00PM Pacific for “Voices at the Table: Partnering with Residents to Shape Community Health.” In this webinar, speakers from two ACHs—the Community Response System of South Los Angeles and Child Safety Forward Sacramento—will share how they are working side by side with residents to build healthier, safer communities.

You’ll hear how they are:

  • Building trust and long-term relationships with community members

  • Supporting residents to take leadership roles in local coalitions

  • Making decisions together through shared power and collaboration

  • Turning lived experience into lasting changes in local health systems

At a time when communities are facing mistrust and growing uncertainty in public systems, resident leadership is more important than ever. Join us, and be part of this movement to build community leadership and collaboration that creates healthier futures for everyone.

This webinar is part of CACHI’s new series spotlighting ACHs across California. It will be presented in English with simultaneous Spanish interpretation available and will include a live Q&A with speakers.
